Introducing the Urbanful Marketplace

In July, we announced the launch of Urbanful, an urban culture magazine highlighting the innovations in design, technology, culture, and transportation that are changing how we live in cities. Urbanful’s stories highlight social entrepreneurs, planning innovations, arts, and culture in American cities large and small.

Now, we’re excited to announce the launch of Urbanful’s Marketplace, a one-stop shop for innovative products by urban manufacturers and artisans. The new Marketplace will make it much easier to connect directly with makers, their stories and their products.

The Marketplace’s first featured companies are six local, small-scale artisans and makers in the District of Columbia, highlighted as part of a two-week-long #ThisIsDC celebration. Meet the people and buy products from Jon Wye, Stitch & Rivet, Waveborn, Gordy’s Pickle Jar, Grey Moggie Letterpress, and Eone.

To celebrate the launch, Urbanful is giving away more than $750 worth of goods from our featured businesses. Visit Urbanful’s Facebook page to check out the prizes and enter.

The Urbanful Marketplace helps support Smart Growth America’s work in coalition building, policy development, and research. It’s our way of celebrating what makes cities great — while we work to make them even better.

Check out the new Marketplace, and say [email protected] if you have ideas for merchants we should feature.
