These positions have been filled. Thank you for your interest. Smart Growth America Interns sought for Summer 2008Smart Growth America is looking to hire several interns for Summer 2008. The internship can be crafted to suit the interests and skills of individual, but would provide valuable advocacy, research, and organizing experience. An intern would assist in work on one or more of the following projects: • Complete Streets:
a campaign to fundamentally transform the look, feel and function of the roads and streets in our community, by changing
the way most roads are planned, designed, and constructed. Specific responsibilities may include:: Requirements: This position requires a self-motivated and detail-oriented person with excellent communication and organizational skills. The candidate should be highly computer literate with specific experience or a willingness to learn database management and website maintenance. Candidates must have exemplary research and writing skills. Familiarity with, as well as strong interest in, smart growth is a plus. Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply. Compensation and Time Frame: Internships are 40 hours a week for 12 weeks. Flexibility on time commitments can be arranged with the intern's supervisor. While internships are unpaid, we are happy to explore fellowship or credit opportunities where applicable. SGA does provide transit benefits.
