
Research Manager
Joseph Womble
Joseph Womble is the Research Manager at Transportation for America. In this role, he leads the data analysis for T4America’s transportation priorities and conceptualizes ideas for new research. As a member of the Policy team, Joseph also helps advance T4America’s policy priorities at federal, state, and local levels.
Most recently, Joseph completed a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he developed expertise in transportation planning and climate resilience. Joseph’s graduate degree culminated in a master’s thesis analyzing disparities in fatalities and serious injuries on state- and locally-owned roads. This project reaffirmed his passion for data-driven transportation research.
Before graduate school, Joseph worked as a Research Analyst on World Resources Institute’s U.S. Clean Energy team, where he developed research products and facilitated peer-learning cohorts for local governments.
Joseph is a double Tar Heel, also having a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy and Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
