Walk audit training in San Diego

On September 26, 2024, AARP California, North Park Main Street, America Walks, and Smart Growth America hosted a walk audit training in North Park, bringing together 30+ participants from across San Diego County. The event provided hands-on training on how to conduct walk audits, assess traffic calming measures, and identify areas of concern all while walking a busy North Park corridor. With participation from Councilmember Stephen Whitburn's office, Scripps Health, and local residents, the training empowered advocates to push for safer, more walkable streets in their communities.
