Y'all Aboard! Celebrating the launch of the Mardi Gras Service

20 years after Hurricane Katrina, passenger rail is finally back between New Orleans and Mobile, AL. Our Transportation for America team played a critical role in shaping the federal programs that made this service possible, and we were thrilled to join community members and other elected officials on the inaugural ride! From brass bands, second lines, and Mardi Gras regalia, check out how communities across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama welcomed the launch of Amtrak’s new Mardi Gras route.
