From 2016-2021, 143 pedestrians, 13 bicyclists, 531 drivers and passengers died in traffic crashes in Oklahoma City, and 1,296 more were seriously injured, showcasing the need for a Complete Streets Policy. Oklahoma City is in the process of gathering political support for a Complete Streets ordinance. This video contains testimonials from residents and experts about the city’s existing infrastructure and how Complete Streets can not only reduce traffic fatalities, but also promote healthier lifestyles and boost the local economy.
