Tell Congress: No cuts! Restore funding for the EPA Brownfields Program
The EPA Brownfields Program has helped communities across the country transform contaminated properties into housing, businesses, community facilities, and other productive uses. As Congress considers reauthorizing the program, proposed funding levels would reduce its authorization from the current $200 million annually to $123.5 million.
Join the National Brownfields Coalition in urging Congress to restore the Brownfields Program authorization to $250 million annually and protect one of the nation's most successful community redevelopment programs.

The Brownfields Redevelopment Tax Incentive Reauthorization Act of 2025 needs your support
Representatives Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) and Michael Turner (OH-10) introduced bipartisan bill H.R. 815, the Brownfields Redevelopment Tax Incentive Reauthorization Act of 2025. This bill will allow developers to deduct the cleanup costs of all contaminated property in the year the costs were incurred, reducing brownfield remediation costs and incentivizing not only cleanups but new development, bringing jobs, housing, community facilities, retail, and office space that can revitalize communities.
