President
Evan Glass
Evan Glass has been fighting for the people of Montgomery County for more than 15 years. During that time, he has engaged with all levels of the county, from organizing neighborhood associations and serving as non-profit leader to advocating for small-business growth and championing effective government. When Evan saw that thousands of his neighbors were walking to the Metro on unsafe sidewalks and crosswalks, he helped form the South Silver Spring Neighborhood Association. He successfully advocated for new infrastructure and pedestrian safety initiatives during his six years as president. As housing costs continued to rise, Evan got to work as vice president of the board of Montgomery Housing Partnership. Through his service, he helped create more affordable housing and expand social service programs for low-income communities.
Evan came to the Washington area to attend American University, receiving degrees in journalism and political science. After a 12-year career as a CNN journalist holding Congress accountable, Evan committed his life to building a stronger Montgomery County. Evan lives in Silver Spring with his husband Jason and their two rescue beagles, Daisy and Percy.
