Join Smart Growth America’s National Complete Streets Coalition and honorary co-host Barbara McCann, a longtime champion of safer streets and author of Completing Our Streets, for Celebrate Complete Streets!, a special fundraising reception, for an evening celebrating the people and communities that make our streets safer, more accessible, and better connected.

2026 has been a year of progress and adversity for the Complete Streets movement. Across the country, communities have continued to create safer streets that support healthier, more prosperous places, even as federal policies have shifted away from proven safety strategies and threatened important progress.

But the people leading this work aren’t backing down. And that’s worth celebrating together.

This January, we’re bringing back our annual Complete Streets gathering with a renewed focus on recognizing the leaders and communities standing up for safer streets. At a time when it’s easy to feel alone in the work, we’re choosing to remember the strength of the movement we have built.

Guests will enjoy drinks and passed hors d’oeuvres, alongside a short awards program recognizing outstanding Complete Streets leadership and a preview of the National Complete Streets Coalition’s priorities for 2027.

Stay tuned for the announcement of this year’s Complete Streets honorees!

Whether you’ve been part of the Complete Streets movement for decades or are just getting involved, we hope you’ll join us to celebrate the progress we’ve made and recommit to the work ahead.

Tickets are available now.
