Dangerous by Design underscores the urgent need for policymakers at every level to help implement street design changes that reduce speeds, improve visibility, and increase accessibility for people walking and biking. Following up on our June webinar on the pedestrian fatality epidemic, our July 15 session focused on proven safety solutions and spotlighted local leaders who are already implementing strategies in their communities.
Smart Growth America’s Heidi Simon was joined by Laura Hardwicke, Safe Mobility Manager in Orlando, FL, and Ernest Banks, architectural designer and advocate at Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects and studioMAIN in Little Rock, AR.
