We're raising $50,000 to launch the Dangerous by Design Accountability Initiative, a first-of-its-kind effort to examine how legal accountability can help create safer streets.
For years, Dangerous by Design has documented how roadway design contributes to thousands of preventable deaths. Now, we're launching the Dangerous by Design Accountability Initiative to explore how our legal system may be preventing safer road design—and what can be done about it.
Through this Initiative, we'll research state laws, identify promising legal pathways, and develop practical recommendations to help advocates and policymakers accelerate the adoption of safer roadway design. Help us fund the first phase of this work.
